DESCRIPTION

Here is an excerpt from our Employee Handbook which will give some insight into our approach.

One night two bartenders were sitting around talking about all the ways their managers and restaurant owners screwed up and idealized a perfect bar, where the beer was always stocked, the fruit dishes filled and the blender permanently broken. Motivated by our desire to hang out more often, eventually we realized we had just enough gumption and good enough credit to make this dream happen.

By now, realization has set in that the perfect bar is about as attainable as a good Mai Tai at a Luau, but every so often when the right crowd is in, the music is right, and the staff is having fun, the essence of it tends to gleam off the neon signs.

The goal here at Trees Lounge is to create that atmosphere as often as humanly possible. We want everyone working, and playing at Trees Lounge to feel appreciated, listened to, and content with their environment. Some of the things in this manual may seem mundane and tedious, but we encourage you to read it, follow it, and question it if something seems awry.”
