Beach Bum’s BBQ & Grill, opened in February of 2007 and quickly became Maui’s most popular oceanfront barbecue restaurant. Our reputation for outstanding, authentic barbecue, large portions and reasonable prices quickly spread and made Beach Bum’s the first choice for both locals and visitors who appreciate great food, value and service in a relaxed oceanfront setting. Beach Bum’s is the only Maui Restaurant that features an all wood rotisserie smoker, (custom built in Mesquite Texas) using only local woods: Kiawe, a mild mesquite & Guava, an exotic fruit tree, adding a unique “island flavor” to all our smoked meats. This cooking process combined with our top secret rubs and homemade BBQ sauces has helped Beach Bum’s to garnish several awards for best BBQ.

Beach Bum’s opens every day for breakfast at 8:00 am; serving lunch and dinner from 11:00am until 9:00 pm. Beach Bum’s has also taken advantage of our Maalaea Harbor location and the availability of fresh fish it provides. We offer a daily fish special along with popular menu items such as beer battered fish and chips, Maui’s best fish tacos and an assortment of fish sandwiches.

With the addition of other seafood selections such as our calamari steak & barbecued or tempura shrimp; we’ve created a truly unique “Beach BBQ” menu that has something for everyone! Of all the great Maui restaurants, Beach Bum’s has earned its place as Maui’s premier Barbecue restaurant. Centrally located in the Maalaea Harbor Shops next to the aquarium and below the Pacific Whale Foundation, our casual oceanfront restaurant feature’s over 1000 square feet of outdoor dining space, outstanding sunset views and even table side whale watches during whale season.
